Its FINALLY here!!

It was a "girls night out" weekend!

The long awaited premiere of every woman's favorite show was Friday and every girl between the ages of 15-50 got dressed up, grabbed their girlfriend and waited in line to see it! Sex and the City knocked Indiana Jones out of the number one spot racking in $26.9 million worth of tickets across America Friday night!
I had to work Friday night and was unable to go but I work at Ruby Tuesday and let me just say that both Friday and Saturday that restaurant was FULL of women coming in all dressed up to drink cosmos in honor of the premiere! They were coming in before and after! I was so jealous that I had to work!! I've never served more cosmos to so many women in my life!!!
For the beginning, everyone was happy and pretty ...reminiscent of the many seasons of Sex and the City. There wasn't a moment in the movie where you didn't hear some girl in the theater gasp, laugh or aww. The movie lived up to expectation, though it was predictable.
I suggest for those of you that have not seen it, DO IT! It was long, but so worth it.

Hope everyone's having a great summer!!

Summer Breakdown

This is for all of my fellow Spring '08 grads...A little glimpse inside our minds, if you will:

Graduation Day: "I am going to land the most fantastic, prestigious career! The day after tomorrow, I'm sure I'll be shown my new office and start writing for that hot magazine...I'll be living in the big city in a gorgeous flat! And I'll be discovered! And get paid in advance to write the next great American novel which will be made into an A-list film! I own this world!"

One Week Later: "Of course I don't have my office yet. I mean, I've applied and all, but it takes time for them to appreciate my awesome-ness. And living at Mom's isn't so bad...it's free bed and board...But all that is beside the point. My phone is going to blow up ringing in a second with that job offer!"

One Month Later: "I was practically a straight-A student. I belonged to two honor societies. I was the English Department darling, for cream cheese sake! And the only "industry" interested in me is the insurance one?? I will NOT waste my way with words hawking over-priced plans to innocent elderly people. That's a crime...possibly literally. And don't these big city companies realize that this Iowa girl is as cosmopolitan as they come? Well, urban enough...in the suburban kind of way...I mean, it's gotta be my geographic location that's holding me back...right?"

Two Months Later: "Hey! McDonald's is hiring!"
